Cross country

I puffed and puffed. My heart was pumping fast like a running cheetah. It felt like my leg would fall into tiny pieces.
I reached another cone, there was a big puddle of gooey mud.
As I was going through the mud, I could hear the mud squishing for my every footstep. I got through the mud safe and sound, but my shoes didn’t make it. My shoes were covered in gooey
squishy mud. I saw something up ahead, it was the finish line. I ran and ran like I had nothing to live for. I could hear the the crowd cheering me on. I got to the end, and still survived cross country. I got 25 points for my house. Now I just wanted to go to sleep.
