How does global warming affect animals?
There are many things that affect animals. But the one that affects them the most in a good ways and bad way is global warming.
So here’s how global warming affect animals.
Global warming affects animals food source’s. For an example, the animals that eat plants there food could dry up from the heat and die. Making animals starve to death.
Global warming could dry up 90 percent of wetlands and getting rid of homes for most of animals that need to live in damp places like the ocean.
The Midwest region in Antarctica is heating and drying up. This is one of the most important places in north American waterfowl.
Since global warming dries up water and makes the water warmer causing many fish species to move toward the north and trying to find a colder place to live.
30 percent of Caribbean beaches are used by turtles during nesting season. But because of global warming it is making the oceans rise, once the ocean has raised 50 cm, they won't be able to nest there anymore and would have to find a different place to nest. Making it easier for some of it’s prey to get it.
Every animal needs to hibernate. But because of global warming Marmots are ending their hibernation. The reason for that is global warming is making them think it's springtime because it's warmer, but it's actually not spring and that could make them really tired making it easier or it’s predators to catch it.
So we must stop global warming in order to save our animlas!!!
